ACREC presents the results of the latest study for key stakeholders in the field of anti-corruption in Ukraine and abroad

In December 2019, the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center presented the results of the research project “The Impact of Local NGOs on the Implementation of Anti-Corruption Reforms in the Regions of Ukraine” for key anti-corruption stakeholders in Kyiv and Leiden (Kingdom of the Netherlands).

On December 6, 2019, the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” hosted a presentation of the ACREC monitoring report entitled “Influence of local NGOs on the implementation of anti-corruption reforms in the regions of Ukraine”. The event was dedicated to presenting the main findings of the study and providing practical recommendations for donor organizations working with the non-governmental sector in Ukraine.

The event was attended by representatives of the International Renaissance Foundation, USAID ENGAGE, USAID SACCI, the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ukraine.

The analytical product of the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center was presented by ACREC Executive Director Oksana Nesterenko and Leiden University Professor Max Bader.

On December 11-12, 2019, the key conclusions and recommendations of the monitoring report on the results of the project were also presented at the University of Leiden, as well as at the Netherlands Institute of Multiparty Democracy.

During both presentations (in Kyiv and Leiden), ACREC researchers outlined the project’s research strategy, presented statistics on key NGO activities in the field of anti-corruption in the regions of Ukraine, shared recommendations on ways to strengthen their influence, and explained what support anti-corruption NGOs need. in Ukraine.
