Oksana Hus, a Doctoral Student of the Institute for Development and Peace at the University of Duisburg-Essen transferred 1500 EURO in support of ACREC activities. This money was her prize as the winner of the PhD Thesis Presentation Contest.
On September 21st, 2016, the Thesis Presentation Contest took place in Berlin for the first time in the frames of the Forum on “German-Ukrainian polyphony of scientific innovations: Hearing young voices”. This competition was an attempt by the organizers to promote the achievements of young scientists from Germany and Ukraine and facilitate the academic cooperation between the two countries. Oksana Hus took the first place with the speech on “Opening a Black Box of Systemic Corruption”.
During the award ceremony, Oksana underlined that her work went in parallel with the active support to the research in the field of combating corruption in Ukraine.
Oksana Hus decided to donate her prize in the amount of 1500 EURO to the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center in Ukraine (ACREC).
