Member of the European Parliament Rebecca HARMS will attend the 8th Anti-Corruption Tour Kyiv

On February 24, 2018 everyone is welcomed to join  Ms. Rebecca Harms (The Greens–European Free Alliance), member of the European Parliament delegation to the Parliamentary Committee of the EU-Ukraine Association during the eighth Anti-Corruption Tour Kyiv – Winter edition. You will learn  about corruption during a guided tour around places related to corruption and anti-corruption activities. The participants will learn about the corruption schemes in legislation, public procurements, court procedures as well as in exercising the powers of authority.

“Anti-Corruption Tour Kyiv” – is an innovative educational tool that allows the tell about the causes, mechanisms and consequences of corruption as well as successful anti-corruption initiatives in Ukraine to the visitors in an informal and natural manner. The purpose of the tours is to increase the awareness among our people of the issues of corruption and combating corruption, as well as to inform on the tools available with the anti-corruption initiatives.

The concept of “Anti-Corruption Tour Kyiv” was developed in the summer of 2017 by a team of 14 young people from Ukraine and Germany working under the German-Ukrainian meetings “Meet up!” of the foundation “Memory, Responsibility and Future”(EVZ). This project represents one of the areas of educational work of the first Anti-Corruption Research and Education Center in Ukraine (ACREC) at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. A total of seven tours were organized for city residents and tourists since the fall of 2017.
