This resource is a part of the larger Anti-Corruption Curriculum Rebuilding Ukraine Corruption Free project. The goal is to minimize corruption risks at all stages of contracting for infrastructure reconstruction, thereby reducing losses of internal and international funds allocated for reconstruction. This, in turn, will improve the quality and quantity of rebuilt infrastructure within the available budget. Preventing corruption will also help maintain support for Ukraine’s recovery among its international partners and deny Russia and its supporters any pretext for a propaganda campaign aimed at undermining this support. Moreover, it will enhance professional capabilities in the sector and increase Ukraine’s attractiveness for American and European investments.
By offering detailed summaries and legislative histories, the database aids businesses in understanding legal requirements, reducing risks, and boosting confidence in their ventures. CSOs can enhance their advocacy and oversight efforts, promoting accountability and transparency in the reconstruction process. Stakeholders, including policymakers and legal advisors, gain critical insights into legislative developments, fostering a corruption-free rebuilding environment.
For American businesses, this database is particularly beneficial. It provides comprehensive access to the legal landscape in Ukraine, helping to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. This reduces the risk of legal issues and facilitates smoother business operations. Additionally, by promoting transparency and reducing corruption, the database helps create a more stable and predictable business environment, which is crucial for long-term investments. American companies can confidently participate in reconstruction projects, knowing that their investments are safeguarded against corruption risks.
