Anti-corruption tours stand out as one of ACREC’s most beloved educational initiatives and serve as an accessible entry point for newcomers looking to delve into the state of corruption in Ukraine.
A guide from our scientific-educational center leads participants through paths that were once crossed by corrupt schemes, providing insights into both the historical and future legislative landscape of our country. This format also allows like-minded individuals to connect, fostering a network of relationships—all while taking a leisurely stroll through the historic streets of Kyiv!
In August, we resumed the format of guided Kyiv tours, and on the first day following Independence Day, we hosted a special gathering that brought together academics from Ukrainian higher educational institutions. This event was organized specially for the Ethics Office of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAZK). While our walks often connect Ukrainians who feel strongly about corruption issues in our country, the participants from this particular excursion truly impressed us with their knowledge, experience, and eagerness for change. We took pleasure in the summer views of Podil, examined corrupt schemes that once unfolded on familiar streets, and discussed strategies for fighting them back.
