Oksana Nesterenko is a former Fulbright-Kennan Institute Research Scholar (Sep.2013/Jun. 2014). She is an author and a co-author of 62 publications including the monograph “The Information in Ukraine: The Right to Access”  and research “Assessment of the Anti-Corruption Strategy Implementation: Successes and Challenges” (Anton Marchuk, Oksana Nesterenko). Dr. Nesterenko is the Executive Director of the Anti-corruption Research and Education Centre at KMA, the Project Manager of whistleblower protection of Ukrainian League of Lawyers for Combatting Corruption. Likewise, she is a member of the Anticorruption group of the Reanimation Package of Reforms.

As a scholar, lecturer and legal advisor Dr Nesterenko is focused on issues in constitutional law and anti-corruption public policy, in particular, government transparency, whistleblower protection, freedom of expression and media etc. Oksana Nesterenko holds a PhD in law from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, Ukraine.  As a member of the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group, Dr Nesterenko participated in drafting on the Law “On Access to Public Information” and conducting numerous projects designed to increase the Ukrainian government’s transparency, the rule of law, and the democratic development in Ukraine. Likewise, she is a co-author the draft law “On Whistleblower Protection and Disclosure of Information about Harm and Threat to the Public Interest.”
