Step by step, Ukraine is approaching European standards of law and transparency in its legislation. And these successes are possible thanks to the coordinated work of dozens of governmental organizations, non-profits, activists, and officials.
“Whistleblowers in Ukraine” conference is one of the most important projects of the ACREC educational center. Every year we gather the most influential figures from the field of anti-corruption work in Ukraine at the offline event. We celebrate achievements and dissect difficulties; we analyze legislation and share forecasts; we talk about our successful (and not so quite) stories. But the real goal of the event is to bring together like-minded people and create a platform where everyone involved in the fight against corruption in Ukraine can get expert advice and support.

What is this conference about?
We have created a platform for sharing experiences and invite world experts, thought leaders, authorized persons from anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine, deputies, educators, lawyers, and judges to share their expertise with the audience. The diverse lineup of speakers allows us to explore each issue from a new perspective and find better solutions.
How do we make the conference accessible?
One interesting feature of the conference is its blended format. The main speakers of the event present live, and anyone interested can join us online. This makes participation accessible and convenient.
What do we discuss?
The conference includes panel discussions addressing whistleblower protection issues in Ukraine. Additionally, we conduct workshops where participants receive tools to solve corruption-related challenges in their fields.
A recent innovation was the “round table” format: participants of the most recent conference gathered to brainstorm on the draft law “On the Security of Classified Information” and formulated suggestions for its improvement, which were taken into consideration by the head of the law action group.
For thos officials who fight corruption daily, this year’s conference featured workshops on “Security of Classified Information and Whistleblowers” and “Whistleblower Experience & Guide for Whistleblowers.” Workshop participants learned about whistleblower protection strategies and acquired skills to enhance legal mechanisms for their protection.
When to expect on the next event?
The conference will return in 2024 😉
